MSU’s Wheeler Center to host Nov. 6 conference on expanding early childhood education in Montana
The Burton K. Wheeler Center and Montana State University’s College of Education, Health and Human Development will host a conference, "Expanding Early Childhood Education in Montana – Developing Readiness and Enhancing Effectiveness," on Friday, Nov. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Northern Hotel in Billings.
The conference will focus on a range of issues related to readiness for and implementation of expanded pre-kindergarten education programming. Its objective is to engage stakeholders – including school board members, current and potential early childhood program providers, school administrators, teachers, legislators and other interested parties – in a well-informed and focused dialogue aimed at supporting concrete policy options for the integration of early childhood programming into Montana’s education system.
