Roemer’s Tire Factory continues with its promise "60 Acts of Kindness" to help repair the Missoula Downtown Christmas lights.

will be fundraising for the Missoula Downtown Foundation during the month of
October. During the month, Roemer’s will donate $20 for every set of tires
sold to the campaign to raise funds needed to repair the Downtown Christmas
lighting infrastructure.

"When I learned that a significant portion of the holiday electrical
infrastructure may not light this year I knew the Foundation needed help,"
says John Roemer, owner of Roemer’s Tire Factory. "I forgot how old the
system was. I was part of the original group that raised the money some 40
odd years ago to buy the decorations in the first place. I always knew that
someday the electrical infrastructure would need to be upgraded. "

Roemer’s Tire Factory made a commitment 3 years ago as part of the company’s
60th Anniversary to perform 60 Acts of Kindness. According to owner, John
Roemer, helping raise funds to repair the failing lighting infrastructure
which supports the Downtown Christmas lights (a core component to the
community’s PARADE OF LIGHTS celebration), is a no brainer.

"The fact that
these repairs need to be done BEFORE it gets too cold this fall makes the
project that much more urgent," states Roemer.

Roemer’s Tire Factory hopes this commitment and advertising will help
leverage the Missoula Downtown Foundation’s fundraising goal of nearly
$13,000 in order to get the décor installed in the next four weeks. The
$13,000 is Phase I of a $35,000 total repair cost and it will allow for the
scheduled installation to begin. Roemer’s is hopeful that other businesses
and individuals can find a way to support this effort as well.
