Green energy praised by Montana Governor Bullock, still on UM President Engstrom’s "hit list"

The Missoula College’s energy technology program received an award from Gov. Steve Bullock for energy innovation, but still found itself at the wrong end of an academic assessment when the University of Montana administration questioned its low enrollment numbers.

The energy technology program falls under the department of applied computing and engineering technology at the Missoula College. It boasts the college’s only National Science Foundation grant, a hands-on curriculum, successful alumni and now a Montana Innovator Award.
