Infrastructure bill’s defeat was loss for Montana

In a recent opinion (June 4), Montana Reps. Nancy Ballance, Art Wittich and Carl Glimm defended the defeat of Montana’s Infrastructure Bill (Senate Bill 416) as "right for Montana." To borrow a phrase from Montana State University President Waded Cruzado, I respectfully disagree.

While legislators may have voted correctly for their districts, defeating SB416 was not right for Montana. As I was involved with SB416 from the beginning, let’s discuss why:
