Butte-Silver Bow commissioners to businesses: We want to hear from you

Butte-Silver Bow commissioners plan to interview area contractors and business owners in the coming weeks to determine whether the county is helping or hindering their ability to operate.

The council’s Economic Development Committee, which was established just this year, will likely start with some of the larger contractors in Butte before seeking input from other businesses, said Commissioner Dave Palmer, chairman of the committee.

The full council approved the plan Wednesday night and referred it to Palmer’s committee. He could not recall commissioners ever proactively seeking this kind of feedback from businesses during his 19 years on council.
