Montana Career Opportunity – Senior IT, Security & Compliance Analyst – Pulsara

As the Senior IT, Security & Compliance Analyst you will lead all of the company’s activities related to the availability, integrity, privacy and security of patient, provider, employee, and business information. You will drive compliance with our company policies and procedures and applicable laws. You will own the development, implementation, and enforcement of IT and security policies and procedures throughout the company. You also will train fellow staff on best practices for information privacy and security. Additionally, you will be primarily responsible for all of the IT systems at Pulsara. The product related infrastructure is handled by the Engineering team, but you’ll be the head honcho for all of our other software, systems, and machines.

When customers or prospects have questions, you’ll be Pulsara’s official spokesperson responding to information security and privacy inquiries. We will look to you to keep abreast of the latest security and privacy laws and regulations, alerts and vulnerabilities. You’ll develop and implement an ongoing risk assessment program targeting information privacy and security, recommend methods for vulnerability detection, oversee vulnerability testing, and coordinate remediation efforts. Should the need arise, you will be the point person for incident response and recovery with both internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll be working in a fun and energetic office environment with flexible hours, ability to work remotely, and the best tools we can provide for you, alongside a great team.

What we are looking for

We are looking for somebody who can wear lots of hats and handle all of the IT, Security, and Compliance needs of a rapidly growing, healthcare SaaS company. You should be a pragmatist. We are not a gigantic corporation, so we often have a lot of priorities to balance, and need to place smart bets. Most importantly, this is a human enterprise, so you need to build a culture of security and compliance that is part of our company DNA. You’ve got the support of the engineering and management teams, but we need somebody to lead the charge.

This position requires:

Prior experience of working in the Security and Compliance group at a SaaS/Cloud company or with Security & Risk practice of an established firm.

Prior experience managing IT systems, such as: installing and managing company wide anti-virus, remote desktop troubleshooting, desktop encryption, CRM, Voice, and other applications.

NOTE: all of our current IT systems are Cloud based, so there’s not a lot of server jockeying.

Good customer communication skills. You will be on a lot of conference calls with the IT/Security departments of prospective customers, helping them to understand Pulsara’s secure handling of their data.

Knowledge of information security standards (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, etc.), rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH, FERPA, HITRUST, EU Safe Harbor, etc.)

A metrics driven mindset. Measure, track, and improve Pulsara’s security and compliance posture.

A proactive approach.

A good sense of humor.

Bonus Points for:

Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, PMP.

Experience with the Clearwater Compliance IRM Pro suite.

A degree in Information Systems or a related field.
