Micron plans $200 million expansion in Boise

Micron Technology Inc. will expand research and development at its Boise campus by 30 percent in a major building project, the company said Tuesday.

Company officials won’t say how many jobs the growth will create as it looks to develop future generations of computer memory and storage. A similar research and development expansion at Micron in 2011-12 added about 200 jobs. Micron employs more than 6,000 people in Idaho.
