Montana Career Opportunity – Bureau Chief-AGR Development and Marketing – Montana Department of Agriculture

Seeking a candidate that is looking for a challenging position that is involved with promoting, commodities and agriculture business.

The department is charged with improving access to foreign and domestic markets for all Montana commodities. Additionally, this position will coordinate hail insurance, as well as education and information programs.

This position serves as Bureau Chief of the Agriculture Development & Marketing Bureau. The position is responsible for the administration, management, and coordination of various agriculture marketing, trade, loans, grants, insurance, education and business development activities. Duties include directing the development and implementation of financing, marketing, trade, and business development programs, providing professional oversight of bureau activities and projects; and administering the ADMB Bureau budget, policies, and equipment. The position reports to the Division Administrator and directly and indirectly manages 12 FTE professional and various temporary and intern staff involved with hail insurance, statistics, finance, marketing, trade, education and business development activities.
