Regulation A+ can help small businesses raise capital

Regulation A itself is not new; it’s just rarely used. It’s a regulation under the Securities Act of 1933 that permits unregistered public offerings of small amounts ($5 million). When a company reaches out to the public to raise capital, it has to register the offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission, or the offering has to be exempt from registration under a rule — such as Reg A.
