Tourists brought $3.9B to Montana in 2014

Research shows that last year the millions of folks who paid a visit to the Treasure State helped to boost Montana’s economy.

The Institute for Tourism and Recreation Research at the University of Montana estimates 10.9 million nonresident travelers spent $3.9 billion in Montana in 2014. Visitors also directly supported more than 38,000 Montana jobs and indirectly supported an additional $1.9 billion of economic activity and 15,000 more jobs, according to the study.
