When people deserve a promotion, be brave enough to grant it

As I preached many, many times to my staff in my leadership lessons, "If you’re not going forward, you’re going backward". Status quo is a dangerous place. I wanted to keep moving forward, so I felt good about pushing change, especially when people didn’t think they needed it.
