Holter art auction particularly important to organization this year
April 22, 2015 /
Some of Montana’s and Helena’s most acclaimed artists are among those donating works for the Holter Museum of Art’s 22nd Annual Gala & Art Auction, which opens its doors at 6 p.m. Friday, April 24, at the Gateway Center.
This year the fundraiser is more important than ever, said Holter Executive Director Caleb Fey. "We lost the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) grant," which was $68,000. "We’ve received the grant for 10 years," which has funded the Cultural Crossroads artists. "We are still bringing those artists in, but have to figure out how to pay for it."
