Workshop on entrepreneurial-friendly community planned

Great Falls Development Authority http://www.gfdevelopment.org/ will host Della Rucker, principle at WiseEconomy.com and author, to present a workshop for entrepreneurs and business owners.

Participants will look at ways resilient small business communities have been built across the U.S.

Rucker has helped citizens, businesses, governments and nonprofits improve communities’ futures for about 20 years. She has trained people to create strategy for economic revitalization, and to enable public participation. She is one of about 10 private-sector people in the United States to hold the industry-standard professional certifications in both planning and economic development. Rucker formerly led economic development in Jacobs Engineering’s planning group. She has also been an English teacher, a Main Street program charter board member, a historic preservation entrepreneur, and a smalltown journalist.

This free opportunity will be held at Montana State University Great Falls in Heritage Hall, 2100 16th Ave. S. from 3 to 5 p.m. May 4.
