The Bozeman Area Community Foundation’s Give Big Gallatin Valley Day, 5/5

Greetings from American Prairie Reserve http://www.americanprairie.org/ I’m contacting you concerning a special opportunity to help APR build its base of local support. This year, American Prairie Reserve is participating in the May 5th Give Big Gallatin Valley Day, a 24-hour online giving event sponsored by the Bozeman Area Community Foundation.

I’m reaching out to our local project champions to request your help making this event a success. Our goal is to attract as many new, local supporters as possible. We will promote the Giving Day through email and social media, but the most powerful tool for attracting support is word of mouth from respected community members.

Several businesses (listed at https://givebiggv.org/) will also serve as "donor lounges" on May 5th. Community Foundation volunteers equipped with iPads will be on hand at these locations to assist donors wishing to make an electronic gift.

Our goal for the event is $5,000. The Community Foundation is offering a pool of stretch funds and cash prizes to nonprofits that meet their campaign goals, so it’s very important we attract as many supporters as possible.

If you have time in the next few weeks, we would appreciate if you would share this story with friends and contacts via email or social media. The Community Foundation suggests sharing this post a few weeks prior to the event, and then following up with a reminder the morning of the May 5th event.

The goal is simple – inspire neighbors to come together, show their pride in their communities, and contribute to support the life-changing work of local nonprofit organizations!

Give Big Gallatin Valley is a powerful 24-hour online giving event that connects community members in the Gallatin Valley with local nonprofits to reinforce the value of local philanthropic giving and community engagement. Local nonprofits’ involvement in the event will give members of our community the chance to find and support an organization whose mission aligns with their passion, or to make an amplified impact to an organization they already support with the help of our Stretch Pool.
