Montana Tobacco Retailer Mapper to be Featured During National Public Health Week

Missoula, Montana – April 8, 2015 – In conjunction with National Public Health Week and Esri, Geodata Services, Inc. http://www.geodataservicesinc.com announces the "Montana Tobacco Retailer Mapper" developed with the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services.

Geodata Services, Inc. provided technical assistance, map and application development and Tetra Tech provided custom programming to create an interactive mapper. The web mapping app allows users to view and query a wide range of data related to Tobacco Retailers in Montana including where the tobacco retailers are located n every Montana community, their proximity to schools, their compliance history in selling tobacco products to minors, and how much of your community is a "tobacco swamp". Learn how big tobacco companies advertise in retail outlets to appeal to youth. The Montana Tobacco Mapper will be used by reAct youth groups throughout Montana in their efforts to combat big tobacco.
