Big Sky Economic Development (BSED) http://www.bigskyeconomicdevelopment.org/ is seeking to fill the position of Director of Business Recruitment and Marketing.

This position provides leadership, establishes strategies, and implements the plan of work for recruitment of new businesses to the Yellowstone County, and directs the marketing plan for BSED.

The Director of Business Recruitment & Marketing is the first point of contact for prospective businesses and facilitates the recruitment process.

This position will also lead and execute the organization’s marketing and outreach plans, public relations, and media relations in full collaboration with other Program-Area Directors. This position provides leadership and supervision of the Recruitment team.

The position requires professional, business-oriented experience with a proven track record in economic development, marketing, sales, community promotion or related experience. Specific knowledge and skills necessary for the position include: local level economic development practices; recruitment, business development or sales/marketing; communication, leadership, teamwork and relationship building; organizational branding and website management; marketing and strategic plan development and implementation; and community and board-member engagement.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in business finance, marketing, economics, business or public administration, or closely related degree; 5+ years of proven and successful experience in economic development, business development/marketing; or a combination of experience, education and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work effectively.
