Wind turbine generators can easily run into the millions, but one Bozeman inventor is hoping to create a much cheaper alternative to harness the same wind.

John Nelsen’s horizontal wind turbine uses a simple design, based in part on the movement of birds’ wings, to capture wind and generate power.
