Winning Solutions Awarded at the Nation’s First Rural Medicine Hackathon and Rural Medicine Ignite events at the University of Montana

The weekend resulted in nine teams sharing nine innovations in rural medicine. To quote one of our judges, Larry White, "All the projects have legs!" Selecting winners was a difficult task.

The following teams were recognized and awarded prizes:

First: We Care U Count whose project was a real-time patient satisfaction tool that "measures and demonstrates the value of CAHs to our community, partners, and payers."

Second: Smooth Moves for the their app-enabled rural care coordinator who ensures a smooth move for patients.

People’s Choice Award: Primary Care Montana for their marketing program to make rural communities more appealing to providers.

Resources for Teams

Since the event, we have been contacted by groups and organizations who want to offer resources and support for those who want to pursue rural health solutions. We are compiling a list and will email it to everyone next week.
