Frontier Medicine Better Health Partnership brings hackers together in Missoula to develop new ideas to improve rural health care
Medical professionals from across the country met at the University of Montana over the weekend to try to solve the health care problems of rural communities by innovating fresh ideas.
The event, called Hacking Rural Medicine, included a competition called a "rural medicine hackathon" where teams developed ideas for a new tool or product to help solve a problem experienced by the rural medical community.
"It’s a process built on a Massachusetts Institute of Technology concept calling Hacking Medicine that says we need to drive innovation by coming together and building it," said Terry Hill.
