Montana Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund grant helps company bring tech jobs to Hamilton

Elliot and Grace Lander could have chosen any place in the country to open a second location for their thriving business that provides knowledge management solutions to high-risk industries.

But after 13 years of exploring the backcountry of the Bitterroot on horseback, snowmobile and ATV, the couple has known for years that this was the place they wanted to be.

Last February, the Landers purchased a home west of Victor.

With the help of a $240,000 Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund grant http://www.bstf.mt.gov/default.mcpx , the Landers are now moving forward with the purchase of a building on Hamilton’s Main Street that will house their Center of Excellence program that will eventually introduce others from around the world to the beauty of the Bitterroot Valley.

In the next two years, ATR http://www.smartprocedures.com expects to have as many as 32 employees working at its Hamilton site.
