Academic benchmarking lets educators keep pulse on student needs – Data

Helena Public Schools has introduced new curriculum and assessments that district leaders are saying can change student achievement.

Several district administrators presented the school board with the latest data at its meeting Tuesday night, saying these new standards target the educational fundamentals of reading, writing and math. Students need to be proficient in these areas no matter what their life path is, Assistant Superintendent Greg Upham said.
