Investing in Manufacturing Community Partnership (IMCP) Program –Application Strategy Session–

Launched in 2013, the Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership (IMCP) program http://www.eda.gov/challenges/imcp/ is a national competition that designates up to 12 manufacturing communities. In addition to national recognition, communities receive a federal liaison, promotion, and the potential for targeted investments from 11 federal agencies and programs with $1.3 billion in federal economic development assistance. The first 12 IMCP designees http://www.eda.gov/news/press-releases/2014/05/28/imcp.htm include Southeastern Michigan, the Chicago metro region and the Greater Portland region.

Round two http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2015-01-29/pdf/2015-01763.pdf of the IMCP designation competition is now open through April 1. Learn how the program could benefit your community, as well as the application process from federal officials and current manufacturing community designees.
