How to say thanks after job interview Snail mail or emal?

I work for a big company that’s always hiring, and I’m frequently called in to meet with candidates to evaluate them. I always give them my business card, which has my email address on it, so most of them email me a quick thank-you note after we meet. A few of them, however, send hand-written notes that take a week or more to arrive. I know that was once considered good form, but now it makes them seem like dinosaurs. Should I just tell them when I hand them my card that an email follow-up is best?
