Montana Governor sounds warning on multiple tax cut proposals

Gov. Steve Bullock and Democratic legislators are upset that the Republican legislative majorities are pushing through bills to cut taxes without taking a comprehensive look at them, along with other spending priorities.
Bullock’s budget office calculated these bills collectively would reduce state general fund tax revenues by $440 million over the next two years. Bullock said many of the proposals would disproportionately divvy up the cuts to the wealthy and out-of-state corporations, he said.
