Early Edge Action – Montana Governor Bullock fundraising for nonprofit formed to promote his early-education plan

As Gov. Steve Bullock pushes his proposal to publicly fund preschool, he’s getting help from a new nonprofit group that has hired a public-relations firm — and he’s helping the group raise money.

"The governor was happy that citizens and volunteers are supporting (his proposal)," spokesman Dave Parker said Tuesday. "So, he pledged to help out where he could."

Both Bullock and Lt. Gov. Angela McLean have called potential donors to raise money for Early Edge Action http://earlyedgeaction.org/ , a nonprofit group incorporated two weeks ago, the governor’s office confirmed.

Early Edge Action is led by Bozeman-based businessman Niles Hushka, who is president of KLJ Solutions, an engineering firm headquartered in Bismarck, N.D.
