Attorney general OKs sale of Missoula medical center for $74.8 million

After nearly five months of often-contentious debate, emotional pleas from both sides and a review of mountains of paperwork, Montana Attorney General Tim Fox on Monday afternoon approved the sale of Community Medical Center in Missoula to a joint business venture between Billings Clinic and RegionalCare Hospital Partners.

The price tag: $74.8 million.
