Entrepreneurship And Competition In Peter Thiel’s Zero To One

In his book Zero to One, my friend and former colleague Peter Thiel lays out an ingenious, provocative, and highly entertaining argument regarding the virtues of monopoly and the shortcomings of competition. He makes his case so deftly that I suspect it will soon attain the implacable majesty of conventional wisdom. That would be a shame.

Many thanks to Mike S. Ferrucci for sharing this.

His comments:

"I believe these thoughts and ideas are more representative of our rural environment and may have a more sustainable impact to Montana’s business if applied correctly. I have never agreed with the statements that we lag behind other areas because of budget shortfalls or proper funding. Imagine the farmer over a century ago who brought crops to the elevators and rail stops to transfer and sell to other markets. They relied on cooperation and collaboration within the communities to make their lives better, might we improve upon this here in our region?"
