Stockman Bank to build multi-story branch in downtown Missoula

The corner of Orange Street and Broadway Avenue in downtown Missoula is going to look much different in a couple years.

Stockman Bank https://www.stockmanbank.com , the largest privately owned bank in Montana and the 22nd largest agricultural lender in the country, is planning on building a new multi-story, state-of-the-art facility at the site of the old Salvation Army building. It will be the 33rd full-service banking location for the closely held, family-owned, 61-year-old company, which is headquartered in Miles City.

Bob Burns, who has been hired as the Missoula bank’s market president, said that the plan is to start demolition of the old building in March.
