Why Californians May Drink More Toilet Water in 2015

Sparkling, still or recently flushed? Orange County, California is increasing the amount of wastewater it recycles into drinking water by almost 50 percent. Even though the filtered water is as pure as can be, it doesn’t go straight to the tap–it’s returned to reservoirs to pacify nervous Nellies.
