Great Falls economy is moving forward

Hard work, investment and creative entrepreneurs are moving Great Falls forward. We’ve set employment records every month this year. Our unemployment rate is 3.5 percent, well below the national average.

Our population is growing, up 600 last year for Cascade County. Student enrollment in Great Falls Public Schools is up for the second year in a row. Total wages increased 3.8 percent in the last year. The average weekly wage grew by 2.8 percent. There are 1,999 Great Falls job openings listed online. Manufacturing employment grew by 14.9 percent from July 2013 to July 2014. Over 380 new apartment units are under construction or in pre-development.
