Montana Career Opportunity – Project Manager 1 – Pace Labs

I.​Summary of Position: Serves as the primary liaison between customers and operations through daily coordination of activities including overseeing sample logins, maintaining customer records, and assuring that final reports are sent to the customers.​

II.​Direct Supervisor (Reports to): Client Services Manager or Project Manager III (Supervisor)

III.​ Primary Responsibilities:

a.​Preparing routine quotations and reports.​

b.​Soliciting work requests and assisting with proposal and project initiation/​preparation

c.​Mediating of project schedules and scope of work through communication with operations and management.​

d.​Assisting in setting data quality objectives and defining data deliverable requirements.​

e.​Responsible for project setup, oversight of sample receipts, monitoring project status and ensuring that samples are collected, analyzed, documented and reported in conformance with client requirements.​

f.​Submitting project status reports to clients and Pace management as applicable.​

g.​Submitting project deliverables and invoice to the customer.​

h.​Responsible for customer follow-up including customer satisfaction

i.​Promoting cooperation and teamwork among staff.​

j.​Following Pace policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).​

k.​Other duties as assigned.​

a.​Education and/​or Experience: BA/​BS in chemistry or related science preferred with 2 years technical experience in environmental remediation.​

b.​Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.​ Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.​ Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/​or board of directors both verbally and in writing.​

c.​Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.​ Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.​

d.​Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.​ Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.​

a.​Responsible for scheduling sample preparation and analysis activities based on customer’s requests.​
