Montana property tax appraisal reflects changing trends

Montana Revenue Department officials are winding down an 18-stop road show explaining some major impacts of the property tax reappraisal process, including somewhat lower residential property market values statewide, considerably higher agriculture and commercial property values and big property value increases in eastern counties near the Bakken oil field development.

Their final two stops will be in Great Falls and Fort Benton on Oct. 16.
