Montana State University gives regents upbeat picture of more growth, bigger budget, more graduates
September 18, 2014 /
The Montana State University http://www.montana.edu/ Bozeman campus, on the other hand, is budgeting for growth — expecting 225 additional full-time students, 2 percent more than last year’s record enrollment. That would be an increase of 1,779 students since 2011 — thanks in large part to MSU’s emphasis on engineering, nursing and other science majors.
By contrast, the University of Montana is predicting enrollment will slip this year by 473 students, a 4 percent drop. If that prediction proves correct, UM will have lost 2,179 students since 2011.
