Lake County Community Development Corporation Recipient of US Treasury Department Community Development Financial Institution Funds

Ronan, MT – September 5, 2014, Lake County Community Development Corporation (LCCDC) http://www.lakecountycdc.org Executive Director, Billie Lee announced today, "I am very pleased to share that LCCDC will be receiving an award of $750,000 in US Treasury Department Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Funding. LCCDC has been recognized as a CDFI since 2012. The CDFI Fund was created for the purpose of promoting economic revitalization and community development through investment in, and assistance to, community development financial institutions. In turn, CDFIs leverage private capital to respond to demand for affordable financial products and services in economically distressed markets. LCCDC will respond to this demand through the provision of loans, investments, training, and client technical assistance. We are extremely pleased to receive this additional funding, as well as the ‘vote of confidence’ in our organization, and what it represents from the U.S. Treasury Department."

Lee continued, "We are proud of our CDFI distinction and take the responsibilities associated with it very seriously. This CDFI award will enable us to do even more throughout the Lake, Mineral and Sanders County communities we serve, and enhances our ability to keep doing what we do best – assisting in the growth and success of our businesses and our communities."
