Butte high-tech company takes ‘holistic approach’ in data conversion

Allen Ellmaker always gets one question from potential customers: what’s with his company’s name, Synesis7?

It doesn’t really have much to do with the company’s work in data standardization and conversion. It doesn’t draw attention to projects they work on, like the U.S. president’s helicopter, Marine One.

Synesis7, headquartered at 220 N. Alaska St., Uptown Butte, deals with massive amounts of data that can obscure anything other than the technical aspects of the business — but Ellmaker is determined to not let that happen, instead highlighting a "holistic approach."
