Butte-Silver Bow panel met repeatedly without public notice when discussing Butte Local Development Corp.

Chief Executive Matt Vincent and a group of commissioners held at least six meetings to review and discuss economic development issues without any advance notice to the public as required under Montana laws.

The last two meetings resulted in consensus on a set of recommendations that have been forwarded to the full Council of Commissioners, Vincent said. One recommendation was for the county to reconsider a major contract with the Butte Local Development Corp. http://www.bldc.net/
