Teton-area ‘geotourism center,’ billed as world’s first, opens in Driggs, Idaho

A travel center billed as the world’s first geotourism center opened Friday in Driggs, an Idaho town close to Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park.

The Teton Geotourism Center https://www.facebook.com/TetonGeotourismCenter is designed to provider travelers "with a glimpse into the life and lifestyle" of the communities from Ashton to Swan Valley along Idaho’s Teton Scenic Byway. The center includes interpretive exhibits, interactive features and murals by local artists. Volunteers will offer information on lodging, activities, restaurants, shopping and itineraries.

The center will have a small gift shop and space that can be rented for meetings and events.
