Montana’s State Library Publishes Geographic Information Facebook Page

The Montana State Library has published a Facebook page for patrons wishing to receive news from its Geographic Information program using Facebook. In addition to NRIS news (natural resource and water information), this Geographic Information Facebook page will provide the full complement of GIS news from the State Library including news about career opportunities, MDSI updates, data discovery and access tools, data archiving, and more.

Montana State Library Geographic Information news content will also be delivered via email to the addresses used with this message. However, as part of our role as the state’s geographic information clearinghouse, this State Library Facebook page may also offer additional related content "shared" from other organization’s Facebook posts (i.e. news from other states, interesting maps/apps, etc.).
