SBA Announcement: Initiative to help companies scale-up and grow; proposal webinar July 1

The Statement of Objectives is for a new SBA-led initiative called ScaleUp America.

ScaleUp America builds on the agency’s core mission by supporting communities’ efforts to deliver targeted intensive assistance to established high-potential small businesses and entrepreneurs that are primed for growth beyond the start-up or early stages. The objective of the initiative is to provide the necessary supports to help companies scale up and grow, while strengthening and enhancing local entrepreneurial ecosystems around the specific needs of growth oriented entrepreneurs and firms resulting in their ability to produce measurable economic impact and job growth in local communities. This program will provide tailored support to high-potential entrepreneurs and growth-oriented small businesses with average annual revenues of $150-$500K.

SBA seeks proposals and a corresponding Performance Work Statement from entities that identifies a community and then describes how they will deliver ScaleUp America to the proposed community. SBA may award multiple contracts for multiple ScaleUp communities, but only one award will be made per community. Any offeror interested in submitting a proposal for more than one community must submit a separate proposal for each community.

SBA will be holding a pre-proposal conference webinar about this solicitation to promote interest and to provide additional information to all interested offerors. The webinar will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 3:00pm ET/1:00pm MT. Entities interested in submitting a proposal may join the webinar 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start by clicking http://emsp.intellor.com/login/415850.

Entities that would like to submit questions to be answered during the pre-proposal webinar should e-mail the Contracting Officer, Toni Hoskinson at [email protected] no later than 3:00PM ET/5:00PM MT on June 30th, 2014. All other questions about the solicitation are due to [email protected] no later than July 2, 2014 by 5:00pm ET/3:00pm MT.
