Food Waste Fuels Growth for Missoula, Montana based Biochemical Maker Blue Marble

Blue Marble Biomaterials http://bluemarblebio.com/ is out to replace petroleum-derived chemicals in the food, beverage, and personal care markets with organic, natural biochemicals while guaranteeing competitive and stable prices. Food waste, a primary feedstock for their products, fuels their rapid growth and global expansion.

Last quarter marked the launch of their first sales cycle for the seven year-old Missoula-based Blue Marble Biomaterials, a subsidiary of Blue Marble Energy. In the past 16 months, they have grown from 9 to 24 employees, increased their daily processing capacity from three to fifty-five tons of feedstock, and now count dozens of new customers.
