Great Falls Climbs for 8 Straight Years!
I’m very pleased to share some wonderful news in the Forward Great Falls effort. For the 8th straight year, the Great Falls metro area climbed in Policom’s Economic Strength Rankings!
The 2014 rankings released today are based on data through 2012. Great Falls climbed another 11 spots in the rankings to 109th from 120th last year. We’ve climbed every year since 2006, when we ranked 308th out of the 381 U.S. metro areas.
Policom’s Economic Strength Rankings are based on 23 economic performance measures, making it perhaps the most comprehensive and extensive ranking of structural economic strength.
To give you an idea of the magnitude of our progress over the past 8 years, in 2006 we ranked in the 81st percentile. In 2014, we rank in the 29th percentile.
We’re one of only 10 metro areas in the country that have climbed in the rankings every year since 2006. Steady progress upward — that’s how TEAM GREAT FALLS gets it done!
