Bozeman schools to use new software to track academics, prevent dropouts

Bozeman teachers will use new software tools next school year to help elementary students who are struggling in reading or math and to set up an "early warning system" to identify students at risk of dropping out.

The Early Warning System is a new program that will help identify students at risk of dropping out. It will track three things – behavior, attendance and course grades. The Bozeman schools and other Montana schools are developing the system in cooperation with the state Office of Public Instruction.
