Engage students, faculty (and the community) in completion agenda

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Students and faculty must be integral partners in efforts to boost college completion, according to a panel of college leaders who helped gather information for the new 21st-Century implementation guide released by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) earlier this week.

That includes getting students to commit to certain a pathway — a highly structured, coherent educational experience that is built around and through an area of study — rather than choosing courses with no plan, the leaders said during a forum at the Annual AACC Convention.
