Missoula city, county computer upgrade shuts down jail, police websites

Local government is rolling out a $1.5 million computer system designed to streamline emergency information and enhance searching capabilities for law enforcement – but the benefits of the new program have yet to be realized.
New World Systems – the new record management software – was introduced to county and city law enforcement agencies, the Missoula Fire Department and the county Office of Emergency Management on Monday morning.
