Bozeman men Alex Crosby and Zachary Case develop DD Buddy app to find people sober rides home

Alex Crosby was sitting at home the night his friend was arrested for drunken driving.

"Why wouldn’t you call?" 23-year-old Crosby remembers thinking that night.

It was that experience that gave him an idea for a smartphone app, a "Bat signal" of sorts, that would connect drinkers to rides home from their sober friends.

Launched last week, the DD Buddy app creates groups of friends and family from a person’s Facebook and contact list.
