A Ski Race With Horsepower in Whitefish, Montana

When the tans and browns of the cowboy intermingle with the neon and pastel of the powder hound, it signals the start of the self-proclaimed world skijoring championships in Whitefish, Mont. One finds glory in the dirt, and the other bravery in the snow. For two days in January, they unite as a team of horse, rider and skier to prove who is fastest.
