Apple’s smackdown of climate skeptics is the latest in a new wave of corporate responsibility

At an investor’s conference on Friday, something unusual happened: Apple http://www.apple.com/ CEO Tim Cook got angry at some of his shareholders.

Cook’s outburst is an emotional example of the way some businesses are finding it easier to resist the corporate orthodoxy espousing shareholder welfare.
