Code rocks as Butte girls learn to write computer codes at boot camp

Most girls signed up to indulge a personal passion. Meanwhile, they learn real-world, transferrable skills like HTML (Hyper-Text Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) programs for a strong base for the working world after they graduate from high school.
Traditionally a male career track, coding stereotypes are changing. Girls now grow up on a more equal playing field due to formal training like CODESPACE-4GIRLS that sets them on track for high-paying tech jobs.
"For this age group it’s huge that we’re getting them interested," said Lee Miller, library director. "They have nothing to fear."
