Utah firm buys part of major Montana insurance broker

Many people have not heard of Mountain West Benefits, but the Helena-based company helps about 52,000 people in Montana get their health insurance.
On Tuesday, the Leavitt Group of Utah said it’s buying 60% of the company, which brokers insurance plans for nearly 100 school districts, more than 70 banks, and many other employers.
The new entity will be called Leavitt Great West Insurance Services. http://www.leavitt.com/
