Get the grade: Find out whether Montana is truly putting students first.

In order to have an education system that prioritizes student learning, Montana must improve its policy environment, particularly with respect to the teaching profession. The state lacks a meaningful educator evaluation system that focuses on student academic outcomes. Moreover, performance does not drive key decision-making related to retention, awards of tenure status, layoffs, or compensation.
